Antique Art Deco Sculpture of Reclining Lady Signed by Menneville.
This sculpture of a reclining lady holding a rose is beautifully captured by the artist Menneville, a prolific sculptor of Art Deco figurines. Menneville is believed to be a pseudonym used by Ugo Cipriani (1887 - 1960) on his spelter and ivorine pieces.
The figurine is made of cold-painted spelter in a bronzed finish with ivorine head, hands and rose.
She sits on an oval base of onyx and black veined marble and is paper-lined at the base.
All in excellent condition with very minor wear commensurate with age.
