Antique French Cast Iron Laundry Stove with Five Sad Irons
 
This early cast iron stove is crafted in two parts and features three removable rings on top for cooking options.
 
With five sloping sides designed to accommodate the sad irons and a removable plate for stoking the fire, this piece tells a story of history and craftmanship.
 
It is marked J 5 J on the top section and also FM5 on the irons.
 
The stove stands on 3 cabochon legs with opening door to empty the ash.
 
It is overall in good condition. It has been repaired around the top section so is not usable and is sold as a decorative item only.
