Antique French Painted Bench & Pair of Chairs (Louis XVI Style)
This delightful set comprises a bench / window seat settle and matching pair of side chairs.
The set all match in decoration with crisp carvings depicting acanthus leaves, heads of corn, scythes, lyres and floral foliage.
The turned top rails are fitted to outward scrolling back legs and turned front legs.
The seats are all upholstered in a blue patterned velvet with brass studding. A little faded, the set would benefit from re-upholstery.
The set retains its original ivory paint finish. Overall in excellent condition with only minor knocks commensurate with age.
